Mycorrhizal fungi allow plants to draw more nutrients and water from the soil. They also increase plant tolerance to different environmental stresses. Moreover, these fungi play a major role in soil aggregation process and stimulate microbial activity.

Coco coir is used as a soil amendment for any type of soil. It improves the air porosity of soils, even when wet, and aids in moisture retention. 

Perlite's expanded nature makes it extremely porous, so it can absorb water, but it also improves drainage. It is ideal to mix into compost or growing medium to ensure water drains freely. Perlite is particularly useful in plant/garden propagation!
